The Independent News
The Independent was launched in 1999 to provide local coverage in the village of Tijeras, a small mountain community overlooked by the bigger Albuquerque media market, and eventually grew to cover more than 4,000 square miles of rural communities east of Albuquerque. The paper’s owners ceased publishing at the end of the Covid pandemic. In early 2023, Ctrl+P purchased the paper and brought it back to service as the weekly paper of record for the East Mountains, Edgewood and the Estancia Valley. Subscribe. Advertise.

The Paper
The Paper is Albuquerque’s alt-weekly providing go-to coverage of arts, culture, community and local news. The Paper was born from the loss of the city’s beloved Weekly Alibi which ceased publishing during the Covid pandemic. The former weekly staff launched a new publication and today it serves 3 counties in print and more than 45,000 digital subscribers. Subscribe. Advertise.
The Paper is owned by Good Trouble LLLP, a partnership of Pat Davis and Abby Lewis. It is published under a publishing agreement with Ctrl+P which is owned by Davis.

The Rolling Paper
The Rolling Paper is New Mexico’s most-read cannabis publication. It publishes in print monthly and is distributed through more than 100 dispensaries and community locations. It features new products, “best of” awards and cannabis culture across the Land of Enchantment.
